The "Together" project is the result of a collaboration between two interdisciplinary artists, Axel Void and Pavel Ryżko. The concept was born during the 2018 art residency "Creença", held in a 19th-century monastery turned into a cultural center. The project is a commentary on a universal pattern of human behavior that transcends national, racial, or religious differences. "Together” addresses the insidious mechanism whereby the stronger, in the name of patriotic myths, political ideas, or religious community, wage a war whose main costs are borne by the weak. The ideological power of the mechanism, which explains that sacrifices and participation in wars serve the good of the weak and defenseless, is responsible for most mass armed conflicts.
